“Aguas Azules is one of the most professional companies on the beach,” says Dis-
covery Beach House concierge, Sabrina Montalto Segal, who regularly sends her vacation
rental guests to them. “Safety comes first and they will even turn down a tour if weather
conditions aren't safe. You know you're in good hands. All you have to do is sit back, relax
and enjoy the view.”
Miguel and Melanie's decision has proven to be a good one. “We started small,” she
says, but the community has supported their steady growth. “A lot of tourist businesses pop
up here and then fade away — but we've been here, we've been steady. I think the commu-
nity has seen that we provide a safe, reliable, secure and very customer-oriented service,
which has helped us, and that's been great because we're really busy these days.”
Customer orientation is not just a business strategy for Miguel and Melanie though —
it is a genuine passion. Their smiles are as warm as the sandy beach stretching out in front
of Aguas Azules' tented waterfront office.
“Every single one of our customers have been planning this trip, they've been looking
forward to it for a long time.” Melanie explains. “Maybe they've been really nervous about
it, they've been excited about it; this is part of their vacation, their memory. They'll go
homeandseeitintheirphotoalbumandit'samemorythey'regoingtohaveforever.That's
