To quickly get rid of
an envelope or a tex-
ture (if you've clicked

see what they brought
up and are now won-
dering how to
deactivate the button),
simply hold <Shift>
while clicking on the
button.

Smoothing tells LightWave to look to the Smooth
Threshold when shading the joining of two polygons. In
Figure 3-50, if two polys meet at an angle of 89.5º or less ,
those polys are shaded as if they were one smooth sur-
face. If polys meet at 89.6º or more , there would be a
sharp “crease” visible where they join.
The Double Sided setting is also shown in Figure
3-50. Activate this to make a planar polygon visible from
either side, regardless of which way its surface normal is
facing.
