23. Select the two polygons shown in Fig-
ure 14-143 and press < Z > to merge
them.
24. Reshape the ear as shown in Figure
14-144.
We're just about through with the ear. The
last few steps require quite a bit of sculpt-
ing work, so be sure to move about your
Perspective viewport often to get a good
look at what you're doing. Also, it may help
to select the polys you wish to adjust and
tweak them individually in the orthographic
viewports.
25. Select the three polygons shown in
Figure 14-145 and smooth shift them
as we've done in the past.
26. Activate the Stretch tool and from the
Modes button, set your Action Center
to Mouse .
27. Position your mouse in the Back
viewport just to the left of the selected
polygons (still highlighted from the
Smooth Shift operation). Hold down
the < Ctrl > key and drag left to flatten
out the polygons.
