Chapter 13
Spline Modeling
Exercise: Kayak
Modeling a kayak may not be as exciting as
modeling a BMW R1200C, but it'll help you
become familiar with how all that stuff in
the last chapter comes together to make
something you can use. In this chapter
you're going to get your feet wet with
spline modeling in order to prepare you for
the next chapter where we'll use splines to
model another human head.
Figure 13-1 shows the spline cage we
use to create our kayak. It looks simple
enough — and that's exactly the point of
spline modeling! However, if you wish to
skip the construction of the splines, load
Objects\Chapter13\KayakSplines.lwo ,
and go to Step 10.
