your edge isn't tapering enough, set
Project Inset to Ye s (Figure 5-56).

For the base, round its top and bottom
with the same type of small edge you
used on the bottom of the cap. (Simply
activate the Rounder tool and it will
utilize its previous settings.) After
rounding, select the disc at the top of
the base and use the Bevel tool to
bevel it in and down slightly to form an
inside lip. Then use the Bevel tool
again to bevel it down, forming the
inside of the object (Figure 5-59).

Repeat this process for the bottom of
the cap, but instead of the medium-
sized edge, reduce the size of the Inset
Distance to create a small, tight
rounded edge. Finally, select the poly-
gon at the very bottom of the cap and
use the Bevel tool to bevel it up, form-
ing the inside of the cap object (Figures
5-57 and 5-58).
