Havelock
03 / POP 500
Situated at the confluence of the Pelorus and Kaiuma Rivers, 35km from Blenheim and
73km from Nelson, Havelock is the western bookend of the picturesque 35km Queen Char-
lotte Drive, which goes through to Picton. The self-proclaimed 'Greenshell Mussel Capital
of the World' is hardly the most rock-and-roll of NZ towns, but it's your best base for the
Nydia Track and a logical one for Pelorus Track, as you'll readily locate most necessities.
