On SH1 but set back beyond an epic front lawn, Parklands offers a small but functional area
for campervans and a splay of well-presented units. There's a swimming pool and play area

burgers and anything else fryable.

Licorice

allsort on the roof of this roadside cafe, 8km north of Turangi. It's better than any of the
cafes in the town itself.

It's best to pick up any necessary tramping equipment and supplies in Turangi, as National
Park and Whakapapa Village have very limited offerings.
Sporting Life

stocks tramping essentials such as wool clothing and dehydrated food.
