Ponsonby Rd, K Rd and the city are an easy walk from this grand hostel, housed in two
neighbouring villas overlooking the mature trees of Western Park. It's easily Auckland's
best backpackers.
Elliott Hotel

grand historic building (1880s), this apartment-style hotel is much plusher than the price im-
plies. Rooms may not be huge but the high ceilings let your spirits rise.

food hall. Our pick of the bunch is Indonesian, Wardani, hidden in the back corner.
L'Assiette
