C.2.1. Downloading MySQL
MySQL can be downloaded from http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/ . The Download button
is hard to miss because it's prominently displayed in the middle of the page, as you can see
from figure C.6 .

1 . Click the button to download.
2 . On the next page, you'll be presented with an option to create an account ( figure
C.7 ) . You don't have to do this, although you can if you want to. To start the down-
load, just click the link at the bottom that says, “No thanks, just start my download!”
