The North American winter coincides with whale-watching season in the Bahía de
Samaná, making this a popular time of year to visit. Winds on the north coast around
Cabarete are generally strongest this time of year.
Whale-Watching
This seasonal display of thousands of humpback whales doing their best impersonation of
