Ecoturístico de la Provincia de Barahona, but it's friendly and happy to help with
whatever. It's located at the far northern outskirts of town, making in mostly inaccessible
for those without a car. You can pick up a decent Pedernales map, too.

Getting There & Away
The highway enters town from the west; after a large traffic circle with a prominent
square arch, it becomes Av Luís E Del Monte and Barahona's main drag.
AIR
Aeropuerto Internacional María Móntez is located 10km north of town. There were no
commercial flights at time of research.
BUS
There is frequent guagua service to all points of the compass during daylight hours. You
can also pick up south-bound guaguas at a stop on the highway at the southern end of
town. Guaguas generally leave every 15 to 30 minutes during daylight hours.
There is a frequent express service to Santo Domingo (RD$250, 2½ hours, hourly from
6am to 7pm) leaving from the Sinchomiba terminal on Av Casandra Damirón near the
northwestern entrance to town. Regular service (RD$225, three hours, every 15 minutes
from 6am to 7pm) also departs from here.
For Paraíso (RD$120, 30 minutes, every 20 minutes between 7am and 6:30pm)
guaguas depart from the corner of Calle 30 de Mayo and Av Del Monte. For Pedernales
(RD$250, three hours, 8am to 2pm), guaguas depart on Calle Peña Gómez next to Super-
mercado H y M.
Guaguas heading west to the Haitian border at Jimaní call at Calle María Móntez just
north of Calle Colón (RD$200, two hours, every 40 minutes from 7am to 6pm). It's also
possible but difficult to visit Isla Cabritos via guagua - take any bus to Neiba (RD$120,
