Granted, the competition is less than fierce, but this well-maintained family-owned hotel
on the western side of town offers comfortable accommodations. The second-floor rooms
even have views outside their front doors.

villas for 2/5/7 people RD$2800/5200/7800, camping per person RD$350; ) Easily the best
accommodation in Constanza, this large, family-owned complex is 2km east of town off
the road toward Hwy Duarte (look for the turn-off just past the airport on your left). More
than a dozen buildings line a hillside perched partway up a high bluff. The rooms them-
selves are unremarkable, but they have balconies with terrific views of the whole valley,
and the large suites and two-story villas are equipped with kitchens.
The hotel's restaurant (mains RD$340) , probably Constanza's best, has breathtaking views
from the second-floor balcony and well-dressed waitstaff serving Dominican and
European-style dishes. There's a small store with basics for a simple meal as well. Behind
the main building is a well-maintained campground, popular with Dominican families and
big groups. A full-service spa was still in the works at the time of research.
