In-Depth Information
The road to the restaurant, part of a large property development called Jamaca de Dios,
winds its way up between the Pinar Quemado and Palo Blanco mountains south of town.
In its original incarnation, an informal spot serving free hotdogs and hamburgers, it was
meant to encourage potential vacation home buyers to stop and take in the fresh air and
views. Have some form of ID on hand for the guards at the development's entryway se-
curity gate. Motorcycles, because of noise, aren't allowed on weekends.
Drinking & Nightlife
Social life in Jarabacoa revolves around Parque Central: the church and restaurants are all
here. At night, the numerous colmados pump loud merengue and beery customers onto the
sidewalk, where the party really gets going.
Two other nightspots next to one another, across from the Esso petrol station at the
northern end of town, are Venue Bar & Lounge
