( 809-971-0550; www.noahrestaurant.com ; Calle del Sol 4; mains RD$600; 11am-midnight Mon-
Thu, to 3am Fri & Sat) Possibly downtown's and the Monument's most upscale restaurant,
stylish Noah does pasta, fish and meat dishes, plus more than a dozen varieties of pizza
and sushi rolls.
Drinking & Entertainment
Clustered around the Monument are a dozen or so bars, restaurants and late-night eateries
(especially on Calle Beller), making this Santiago's best place for general revelry - try
Barajanda Bar on Av Francia for live music nightly. Most also serve more than passable
food. Vendors sell beer from coolers and locals blast music from their car stereos till
dawn. While not especially dangerous, the center can be dodgy in the wee hours so it's
best to take a taxi home. Monday to Wednesday nights are generally subdued.

(cnr Calle del Sol & Calle 6; 4pm-late; ) A cross between a VIP airport lounge, sports bar
and stylish Miami nightclub, this sleek establishment stretches along the southern side of
the Monument. Large-screen plasma TVs cover the back wall, while the other sides are
open to the street. In addition to drinks, there's an eclectic and large menu of Dominican
and international fare (mains are RD$375).
Confusingly, the sign for its telecom provider, Wind, is more prominent than the res-
taurant's.
