southern entrance to town, this utilitarian brick building is probably the most comfortable
and secure accommodation in Luperón. The apartments, which include fully stocked kit-
chens and living rooms with wicker furniture, are certainly more space than the average

torious for being frequently out of cash or not functioning.

Getting There & Away
Guaguas
to Imbert (RD$50, 30 minutes, every 15 minutes 5am to 6:30pm) leave from a
stop on Calle Duarte at 16 de Agosto, four blocks south of Calle 27 de Febrero. From Im-
bert you can pick up
guaguas
headed south to Santiago or north to Puerto Plata.
A taxi from Puerto Plata should cost around RD$3800. From Luperón to Punta Rusia
costs around RD$2000.
