Italian stylist is the big personality behind these rustic-chic A-frame chalets. Each boasts a
range of colors and unique interior details like stone showers, coconut and bamboo wood
accents, and all manner of creative combinations - everything here looks like a beautiful
indigenous handicraft made to wow you. All the huge chalets are split-level, with full kit-
chens and ample living space; and security on the private premises is a priority. They're
tucked away down a residential street across from BanReservas, a 10-minute walk from
both Playita beach and the center of town.

Plaza Lusitania Hotel

tiny mall, complete with a good Italian restaurant and pleasant open-air atrium. Rooms are
large and extremely comfortable, but steer clear if you don't like cats.

For a town of its size, Las Galeras has an abundance of fantastic food outlets, with many
restaurants located at the single intersection on the main street. Several hotels also offer
meals when ordered in advance. Note that many restaurants close outside of the high sea-
son. For self-caterers, the largest grocery store is Supermercado No 1 (Calle Principal;
7am-9:30pm) .
End of the Road
(Calle Principal; mains RD$50-190; 8am-9pm; ) Right at the town intersection, this small
traveler's hub serves gourmet Angus beef burgers and massive burritos (including an awe-
some breakfast version) cooked by the French chef from Le Taínos, the town's chicest eat-
ery. It has an internet cafe (per hour RD$40).
