staff is cute, friendly and not particularly service-oriented, but what you get for your
money here means the Bayahibe has the some of best value rooms in town. This three-
story modern building is easily noticeable, since it's the biggest around. Large, colorful
rooms are very comfortable with cable TV, balconies, small bathtubs and some even boast
good views. Breakfast is served on the seafront at Restaurante Doña Clara. One bummer
is wi-fi is restricted to common areas only.

This friendly German-owned hotel
has 14 well-kept rooms and apartments, the former a bit cramped but colorful, while some
of the newer apartments in the modern annex next door are a wonderfully comfortable
deal for the price. A simple US$5 breakfast is served in a covered-over indoor patio area
for all rooms without kitchens. The penthouse, with its own small pool, is a little rooftop
oasis that beckons longer stays.

A good choice for those seeking hotel-style comfort, amenities and
service alongside peace and quiet (there are birds chirping here). Because it's located on
the access road to the resort area, you might confuse the Eden for a hotel somewhere in
Arizona or Florida, just not necessarily on a Caribbean beach. The pool area and grounds
are attractive and all rooms come with a king-sized bed.
