Milan, Paris and Barcelona, celebrity TV-chef Leandro Cristóbal now runs the kitchen at
this renowned San Telmo bistro. Start with fabulous tapas, then delve into the grilled
Spanish octopus, molleja (sweetbreads) cannelloni and the amazing pork bondiola (deli-
ciously tender after nine hours' roasting). Most of the seafood is flown in daily from
Patagonia. Reserve for lunch and dinner.
If you can't get a table here, try the Café San Juan La Cantina MAP GOOGLE MAP (
4300-9344; Chile 474; noon-3:30pm & 8:30pm-midnight Tue-Sun) . It's located a few blocks
away and has a different menu.

this restaurant has some of BA's most authentic Japanese food, and the locals know it -
come early if you don't want to wait. All your favorites are here, including tempura, ter-
iyaki, ramen or udon noodles and - of course - lots of sushi and sashimi choices. Impor-
