Is allowed almost everywhere. Nearly all hotels offer nonsmoking
rooms, as do most restaurants.
Discount Cards
There are no discount cards currently operating on a citywide basis. If you're
a student then bring an ISIC card to get discounts - cards issued by non-Rus-
sian universities will normally be refused. The Hermitage is the blissful excep-
tion where anyone with a student card from any country gets in for free. Seni-
or citizens (usually anyone over the age of 60) are often also eligible for dis-
counts, so bring your passport with you.
