Ecolines ( www.ecolines.ru ; Podyezdny per 3; Pushkinskaya) runs daily buses
from the Vitebsky vokzal to Tallinn (R980), Rīga (R1250) and Kyiv (R1880),
and Odesa (R2320).
Other Bus Arrivals
There are several other places where various bus services from Helsinki ar-
rive. These include marshrutky from Helsinki, which stop on pl Vosstaniya,
right opposite the pl Vosstaniya metro station and Ardis Finnord buses, which
arrive at the Ardis Finnord office (Italiyanskaya ul 37) , an easy walk to the
Gostiny Dvor metro station.
CATCHING THE TRAIN TO MOSCOW
All trains to St Petersburg depart from the Moscow Station. Take your pick from
the standard overnight trains or the new super-fast Sapsan trains.
Overnight
There are about 10 overnight trains travelling between St Petersburg and Mo-
scow. Most depart between 10pm and midnight, arriving in the capital the follow-
ing morning between 6am and 8am. On the more comfortable firmenny trains, a
1st-class lyuks ticket (two-person cabin) runs from R5200 to R6000, while a
2nd-class kupe (four-person cabin) is R2000 to R3000.
Sapsan
These high-speed trains travel at speeds of 200km/h to reach their destination in
four hours or less. Trains depart throughout the day. Comfortable 2nd-class
seats are R2300 to R2800, while super-spacious 1st-class seats run from
R5000 to R5600.
