This excellent place overlooks Kanal Griboye-
dova and has six rooms, all of which share three bathrooms and toilets. It's not as
hostel-like as it sounds though; it's much more like staying in a large apartment with
friends. The communal areas are very pleasant and the rooms are comfortable and
clean. Even better is the central location and view: big windows look out onto the
canal and bathe the whole place in light.

Superbly located and delightfully
decorated, this five-room place is among the city's most charming, with tiled stoves,
antique furnishings and the oldest functioning radio and TV you're likely to see any-
where. The English-speaking staff will make you feel right at home, serving breakfast
and afternoon tea every day. The only downside is the shared bathroom facilities, but
for the centrality it's more than worth the price. Airport transfers are included, but
visa support is additional.
