Named after the long-running TV show, this new chain of hostels
is one of the best things to have happened to St Petersburg's budget travel market for
ages. All four locations are great, but our favourite is this one, just next to Kazan
Cathedral in a quiet courtyard. The new dorms are spotless, all have lockers and share
good bathrooms and a kitchen and there are free international calls for all guests. The
friendly staff members speak English, are extremely helpful and organise events every
day - from pub crawls to historical walks. As well as dorm rooms there are doubles,
triples and quads available, not to mention a Friends apartment just down the canal

This superb hotel has a great location on the Moyka River -
it's practically on the doorstep of the Hermitage - and has all the comforts you'd ex-
pect of an international luxury chain. Rooms have a stylish marine theme, with
cherry-wood furniture and a handsome navy blue and gold colour scheme. The
360-degree panorama from the rooftop Belle View restaurant and bar is unbeatable
(although you'll pay extra for your breakfast).
