tale or folklore. This venue also hosts circus troupes from other cities and countries.

ing with credit-maxing designer digs, eye-catching boutiques, filled-to-the-brim
bookstores and run-of-the-mill souvenir shops. Nevsky pr is, of course, the
city's main shopping street, although the real gems and best bargains are hid-
den away in the smaller surrounding streets.

St Petersburg's premier bookshop chain has branches around the city. This is
one of the smaller outlets, but it is centrally located and it carries a good selection of
