This tiny place is a foodie dream by St Petersburg standards. Fresh daily spe-
cials such as artichoke salad and gazpacho complement a large range of both soup and
wine - a strange combination, maybe, but the owners explain that they don't necessar-
ily expect customers to combine the two. There's also a range of pasta dishes and de-
licious panini that can be taken away or enjoyed in the cute, wood-heavy premises.

counter, fresh from the oven anytime of day. It may be difficult to decide (rabbit and
mushroom or salmon; apricot or apple?) but you really can't go wrong. There are fur-
ther outlets around the city, and takeaway is also available.

Finding a decent sandwich in this town can be a Herculean feat, so this
boulangerie
chain's outlet just off Nevsky pr is very welcome indeed. Freshly made
sandwiches in freshly baked baguettes, not to mention a great range of cakes and oth-
