Just a reminder: while creating a clip, we can select an external video that needs to be
incorporated into the movie. The same happens if we need to use an image, but there is
a small detail that needs to be taken into account, as shown in the following screenshot:
With a video, Lumion knows the length of the clip, but with an image, we have to
specify the duration of the clip as exemplified in the previous screenshot.
Did you know that even with imported videos and images
we can use some of Lumion's effects?
Let's look at two more effects before we start exporting the movie. We'll start by
exploring the In/out effect and why it is so important.
Fading in/out - transitions between clips
Fading in/out is based on a film technique called Dissolve , where a gradual transition
is created from one scene to another. The same technique can be used in Lumion,
which allows us to create smooth transitions between clips.
