Playing safe with the Broadcast Safe
effect
Firstly, this is something that will only be useful if your movie will be broadcast on
TV. For television, there are two main video formats:
National Television Standards Committee ( NTSC )
Phase Alternating Line ( PAL )
The countries that use the PAL system are North America, Japan, and South
Korea, and the NTSC is used in most of Europe, Australia, and large parts of
Asia and Africa. This is the reason why some DVDs from Europe may not play
in North America.
Did you notice that Lumion has everything? Yes, Lumion has an effect that can
safeguard you in case you need to export the movie in the NTSC or PAL format.
The Broadcast Safe effect for some reason is found under the Artistic tab, and once
we apply this effect, there are two options:
NTSC : Here, you need to use 30 frames per second
PAL : Here, you need to use 25 frames per second
At this stage, if you are happy with the entire movie and eager to render the clips for
different countries, move to the Render the final movie section because next, you will
cover some final touches to create a professional movie presentation.
Final touches using the Titles and In/Out
effects
Aren't we done yet? In the 3D world, there is always room for improvement, but in
most cases, we don't have time. The next few things can be considered in the final
stages before exporting the movie, and then you will realize that it took longer to
create the project than to render the final movie.
