In-Depth Information
Some of these effects will enrich the movie's realism and further effects will help
to display the project in a creative and professional style. Just before we export the
movie in several different formats, we will learn how to use sound to generate a deep
and evolving environment and then, in conclusion, we will export the movie as a
video file or a sequence of images. Let's start by covering some specific ways to work
with effects in the
Movie
mode.
Lumion's video effects - a quick
overview
Lumion's effects are not new to us since we have been using them with the
Photo
mode. All the knowledge we built throughout the topic while using the effects in the
Photo
mode can now be applied in the
Movie
mode. However, the
Movie
mode has
a few more effects and these are commonly related with movement, like the ones we
covered in the previous chapter.
Nonetheless, even in the
Movie
mode, some of these effects are only accessible when
we use the
Entire Movie
mode.
The Entire Movie mode
In truth, the
Entire Movie
mode is more like a submode of the
Movie
mode. So far,
we have learned how to create clips that when combined create an entire movie. The
Entire Movie
mode only comes into play when we start doing animation or using
particular effects. Animating using this mode is not practical in most circumstances
and some of these reasons were covered in the previous chapter, so what can we do
in the
Entire Movie
mode?
The Lumion's effects for video can be applied to clips or to the entire movie. What
could help you choose the effects that are useful to the final result we want to
achieve? Think of effects that don't need major adjustments. For example, if you
want to replace the clouds using the Clouds effect, it doesn't make much sense to use
the same effect in 10 clips. This is one of the situations where you can use the
Entire
Movie
mode. When you want to affect all the clips with the same effect and few
changes, the
Entire Movie
mode is the best option.
