Step 3 - organizing the movie
As mentioned earlier, a movie can be made up of a single clip, but often, we might
find more advantage in creating more than one clip. Why is this? Creating a fantastic
movie in Lumion is not something that happens by chance. We need to think about
the objective of the movie, how we are going to use composition, and, finally, how
we are going to shoot the movie to make it appealing. Imagine managing all this
information in just one clip, and you can easily see the nightmare in tweaking the
camera's speed and the clip length.
On the other hand, the benefit of using several clips is that we have the freedom to
stop one shot and move to another area, and we have the ability to apply different
effects according to our needs. Are you convinced?
Handling clips
What do you think should be our priority when organizing the clips created?
That's right! We need to give a proper name to each one, because the name that
Lumion gives is too generic.
Renaming clips
Where can we check the name for each clip? The easiest way is by hovering the
mouse over the clip; a small label appears showing the name for this clip, which,
in your case, might be 1 - Flythrough , as shown in the following screenshot:
