The second layer - the Sketch effect
The Sketch effect is another fantastic Lumion effect that mimics a drawing made by
hand using a pencil. This is perhaps the oldest and mostly used method of expression
used throughout the centuries and that till today has the power to communicate ideas
in a simpler and more efficient way. Lumion does a really good job with this effect,
getting almost a realistic handmade drawing. Firstly, let's see how we can use this
effect alone.
Let's begin by adding the Sketch effect to our scene and the first thing we notice is
that we have an amazing colored sketch. This effect can deliver mainly two outputs,
as shown in the following screenshot:
It may be dificult to perceive this in the hard copy of this topic, but the image on the
right is a colorful drawing, while the image on the left is a black and white drawing.
This can be achieved by using the Coloring setting that removes or adds color. The
value in the middle creates a perfect balance between the two options and works fine
in most cases.
What else can we take from this effect? The possibilities are endless, but before we show
some of those possibilities, let's have a look at the Accuracy setting, and the best way to
understand what this setting can do for us, have a look at the following screenshot:
