Render still Images with the Photo mode
Now that we applied all of these effects, there is something we need to do and that
is rendering or exporting the images of the scene. Doing this in the Photo mode
is very easy because all you have to do is select the size of the image and this will
open the Windows Explorer to specify the folder to save the image, as shown in the
following screenshot:
Then, just click on Save and enjoy a cup of coffee while Lumion renders the final image.
Summary
This chapter was the cornerstone for your project. Here, you learned the magic
of adding special elements such as fire, smoke, and fog along with practical
applications for real projects. Then, you jumped perhaps to a more exciting topic:
Photo and Movie effects. You learned not only what they are, but also how they can
be used to improve the realism of your project. You didn't find any magic formula
for these effects because as mentioned several times, each project, each image, and
each camera position has its own needs. However, with all the knowledge and
techniques covered, you will be able to fully master Lumion's effects.
In the next chapter, we will carry on exploring these effects, but in a more artistic
way by mimicking some art techniques. You will see how to use them to create
technical and conceptual illustrations. You will learn how to combine effects and
manipulate them in order to achieve beautiful nonphotorealistic renders.
