Selecting and deleting 3D models
One requirement that eventually begins to rise is the need to control several 3D
models at the same time. Let's examine this situation: you just placed 10 trees, but
they are in the wrong place. We have two ways to deal with this. The first one is to
delete the 3D models and place them again, but how can we do this?
When we open the Objects menu, a toolbar appears at the bottom of the screen, and
we can locate the delete button at the end of the toolbar. The process is simple—we
click on the Trash object button and then select the 3D model to delete it, as shown in
the following screenshot:
If we deleted a 3D model by mistake, there is always the Undo button that appears
next to the trash button, but keep in mind that this button has some limitations
because we can only undo one action. With the Trash object button selected, we can
click on each model to delete it, but imagine having to do this for each 3D model.
This is a tedious and unnecessary task because we can select multiple 3D models
in one go. How? First, we draw a selection box around the 3D models we want to
delete, move, rotate, and scale. To do this, we have to press and hold the Ctrl key
and then draw a rectangle selection around the 3D models we want, as shown in
the following screenshot:
