Applying and Creating Materials - Mastering Lumion 3D - page 100

The use of this option is somehow subjective because we can save the entire set of
materials used for this 3D model, but when loaded, the material will only be applied
to the same surface. The file we save with the materials is called the Material list
(extension .mtt ) and when the same file is loaded, something like this will appear:
This will give the option to load only certain materials and, as shown in the previous
screenshot, we selected two materials to be loaded. This Lumion feature can be used
to back up materials, in particular when we are not too sure about the changes.
Common problems (troubleshooting)
While applying and tweaking materials, we will notice an area in the 3D model with
a strange flickering. Although this can be avoided by checking two faces on the same
place, there is a built-in setting in every Lumion material to correct this problem.
