Enabling the job schedule
Once the job has been properly created, then it is time to enable it, this is done
using the
DBMS_SCHEDULER.ENABLE
procedure. The only argument it requires is the
job name.
Using Enterprise Manager
Enterprise
Manager
is a convenient way to schedule a job, its interface is intuitive
and user friendly. The Scheduler manager is found on the
Administration
tab in
the
Database Scheduler
section. There you will find the Job definition section, the
one first used to schedule a simple job (
Jobs
,
Schedules
and
Programs
),
Window
Management
(
Windows
,
Window
Groups
), Program definition (Programs),
Job Classes, and Chains.
By clicking the Job definition section, the form to specify a simple job appears:
