Playing Games
An entire book could be written about this subject, so I'm just going to touch on a few games
here that show off the graphics and speed of Android.
One caution- most free games are ad-supported, and many only let you play for a limited
time or to a limited level before requiring you to buy the paid version.
Here are a few classic games to get you started.
Angry Birds
The hit from Roxio now comes in many versions, both paid and free, but the original ( ht-
tp://bit.ly/GFYe1J ) is always a good place to start. The birds are steamed because the bad
pigs have stolen their eggs, so your job is to fire different types of angry birds at the struc-
tures protecting the pigs and destroy them.
Random Mahjong
This free app ( http://bit.ly/17akHdN ) is a beautifully rendered version of the classic tile-
matching game. You can play at levels from 32 to 152 tiles as well as customized levels.
Games are saved if you quit before finishing, and you have undo, rewind, and shuffle to
make games even more fun. The free version is ad-supported.
