Library. Download the Google Play Music Manager ( http://bit.ly/19tBwAh ) for your plat-
form- it's available for Windows, Mac, and Linux- and run it. After you specify the location
of your music on your computer, Music Manager will upload your music to Google Drive
in the background. You can also specify that any new music added to your computer's mu-
sic folder(s) will be automatically uploaded in the future.
Google provides space for up to 20,000 songs. It does a smart upload- if a song is already
in the Google Play Music Store, it links to that copy rather than uploading from your com-
puter. If you have a large collection, that can save a lot of time.
If you turn your computer off before the upload is complete, it will resume the next time
you turn your computer on.
Of course, music in Google Drive can only be played when your device is connected to the
Internet via Wi-Fi or LTE. To download music to the device for play offline, tap the Keep
icon (a pushpin) on the album or song's detail page. See the status of music downloads, tap
the Menu icon in the upper right corner, then Settings, and then View download queue.
Google Play All Access ( http://bit.ly/GFTs4n ) is a subscription service, currently $9.95 per
month, that gives you unlimited access to millions of songs and allows you to create per-
sonalized radio from any song or artist.
If enabled, the equalizer mode lets you control the frequency bands of its built-in presets as
well as create your own user settings.
