Managing Contacts
If you use Google's Gmail to manage your contacts, all of your Gmail contacts will be avail-
able when you sign into your Google account during device setup. And as with all other
Google applications, your contacts will be synchronized between all your Android devices
(such as a phone) and Google applications on the desktop web versions.
This means you can add or update a contact and the changes will show up on your desktop
computer and on your other Android devices.
Contact Apps
The built-in contact app, Contacts, is good enough for basic contact management, but you
can add a lot more power with apps from the Google Play Store.
With the Contacts app, you can add, edit, and delete contacts and groups. You can also create
favorite contacts, and look at your most frequently contacted contacts.
DW Contacts
As mentioned above, other apps let you do a lot more with your contacts. DW Contacts
( http://bit.ly/193RkM6 ) is a powerful contact manager with many options. You can create,
copy, edit, change, and delete contacts either singly or using multi-select. Most operations
can be selected from the menu icon or by long-pressing a contact, group name, or item. You
can create appointments in your Google calendar directly from DW Contacts by long-press-
ing a contact.
Contacts +
If you want a simple, clean interface, Contacts + ( http://bit.ly/1ggAcYF ), offers many ways
to sort and view your contacts. It can synchronize with Google+ and Facebook to display
your contacts images in three different sizes in a grid view. If most of your contacts don't
have photos, you can switch to list view. You can sort alphabetically by first or last name, or
by frequency or last used.
