Contacts list in Skype
Answering a Call
Skype starts the Skype call screen and notifies you with tones when a call comes in. If your
device is off, it will turn on and show the Skype call screen. To answer the call, tap the
green phone icon. To decline the call, tap the red phone icon.
If you have a lock screen enabled and the device is locked when a call is received, you can
still answer the call. To see your call history and access other Skype features, tap the Un-
lock button on the left. This takes you to your unlock screen. After you unlock the device,
it returns to the Skype call screen.
When you're finished with your call, tap the red phone icon to hang up.
Group Calls
You can't start a group call from the device, but you can join a group call. Skype will notify
you that you have an incoming call. Just answer it in the usual way, by tapping the green
phone icon.
Making a Video Call
Select the contact to call, then tap the video icon at the upper left. Note that the person
you're calling may have video turned off by default. In this case you won't see the other
person.
During your video call, you can turn off video or switch to the rear camera by tapping the
video icon at the bottom of the screen.
As with a voice call, you can mute the microphone by tapping the microphone icon.
Sending Instant Messages
To send an instant message (IM), select the desired contact. Then type your message in the
instant message box at the bottom of the screen. You'll see the response, if any, below your
message.
