Wi-Fi Settings
To access Wi-Fi settings, swipe down from the top of the screen with two fingers to open
Quick Settings, then tap the Wi-Fi icon. The Wi-Fi screen shows a list of Wi-Fi networks.
The network being used, if any, is at the top of the list, followed by networks that are in
range in order of signal strength. Below that, Wi-Fi networks that the tablet has used in the
past are listed alphabetically.
To connect to any network that is in range, tap it. You'll be prompted for a password if the
network is secured.
If you have a choice of networks, always use the one with the strongest signal. Data trans-
fers faster when the signal is strong and you'll have fewer problems with dropped connec-
tions.
Like a laptop computer, Android remembers all the Wi-Fi hotspots it's ever used (unless
you tell it to forget a hotspot) and reconnects automatically when you're in range.
