Checking Storage Space
To see how much room apps and files are taking up on your device, swipe down from
the upper right to open Quick Settings, tap Settings, then scroll to Device and tap Storage.
After a few seconds, the device calculates the storage taken by apps, pictures and videos,
audio, downloads, cached data, and miscellaneous. To see details in each category, tap it.
The miscellaneous category can contain a lot of things. For example, if you download mu-
sic from Amazon with the Amazon MP3 music app, the downloaded misc appears under
miscellaneous.
While it is possible to delete files from the detail screens, it's safer to delete files from the
apps that use them.
