Managing Files and Printing
There are many times you'll wish to move files around on your phone or tablet, or to move
files to and from another mobile device or a computer. The easiest way to share files is via
cloud storage, which is secure space on someone's server that you access via the Internet. Of
course, to use a cloud, your device must be connected to the Internet via Wi-Fi or LTE.
If you don't feel comfortable sharing your files via a cloud because you're worried they
might evaporate, you can transfer files directly between the device and another mobile
device or a computer via Wi-Fi.
Since the memory you have is never enough, you may find yourself running out of room,
especially if you download a lot of videos and music. In that case, you'll need to remove
unneeded files to make more space.
At some point you'll probably need to print a file from your device. You can do that two
ways- by transferring the file to your computer and printing it, or printing directly from the
device.
Google Drive
Google Drive ( http://bit.ly/1dQZ0o5 ) comes pre-installed on Android. Assuming you have
a Google account, you have access to your files on any mobile device that can run the Drive
app, as well as your computer via Drive for Windows or Mac. Drive is not available for
Linux but you can access Drive from any web browser at www.google.com/drive . Drive
gives you 15gb of free storage and you can buy more storage for a monthly fee.
Dropbox
Dropbox ( http://bit.ly/1ho6XpN ) is one of the oldest cloud services and probably still the
most popular way to share files between computers and portable devices. After you install
the Dropbox app, all you need to do is create a free Dropbox account. Then you can import
or export files directly to Dropbox. Even easier, you can share files to Dropbox from most
