here. I'll just describe a few that I've found to be helpful as an airline passenger and as a
charter and air tour pilot flying small aircraft.
FlightAware
FlightAware (

)
is a free aircraft tracking app that can display inform-
ation on a moving map for scheduled airline flights worldwide, as well as most other aircraft
on an instrument flight plan, which includes most jet and turboprop aircraft (it doesn't track
aircraft on visual flight plans.) Since FlightAware gets its data from air traffic control, it is
far more accurate than airline web sites or airport flight status boards.
