Google Play Magazines
To shop for magazines, open Google Play and tap Magazines. As with books, you can
browse by categories or search for a specific title. Once you find an interesting magazine,
tap the magazine to view its detail page. You can buy single issues or subscribe to most
magazines. Subscriptions come with a 14-day free trial.
Zinio Magazines
Another way to buy magazines is through the free Zinio app ( http://bit.ly/1hKiZHy ) . Zinio
features more than 5,500 magazines, which you can read in the Zinio app or at zinio.com
in your computer's web browser.
The advantage of Zinio is that it's cross-platform. Not only can you read magazines bought
at Zinio on your computer and on any Android phone or tablet, you can install Zinio on
iOS devices including iPads and on Amazon Fire tablets. This avoids having to buy separ-
ate subscriptions for different platforms. Also, Zinio automatically archives back issues so
you can retrieve them at any time, even after you've deleted them from your Zinio library.
Another great feature of most Zinio magazines is Text mode. At the start of each article,
you can tap Text at the bottom of the screen to view an article without images or ads.
