50¢. The centavo coins were introduced in 1994, followed by 1 peso.

In 1992, banknotes were introduced in denominations of
AR$2, AR$5, AR$10, AR$20, AR$50, and AR$100. The $1 was
replaced by a coin in 1994. The notes usually have images of
the country's heroes on one side and, on the other, some of
the major events in Argentinian history.
