In this example, the LENA image is upsampled by a factor of 2 and downsampled
by a factor 3. The linear interpolation

filters are used for both the upsampling and
downsampling operations. The original image is shown in Figure 2.39. The
upsampled and the downsampled images are shown in Figures 2.40 and 2.41,
respectively.
