3.11 MATRIX POLYNOMIALS AND FUNCTIONS
OF SQUARE MATRICES
Matrix polynomials and functions of matrices have application in different engin-
eering discipline such as modern control theory, solution of simultaneous linear DEs,
queuing theory, and communication systems. In this section, we focus on matrix
polynomials and some special function of square matrices with their analytical
computations. They are useful for high-quality color imaging systems.
