SECRECY IN SINGAPORE: A printed Admiralty Chart of Singapore Strait is marked 'secret - not to
be duplicated' because it bears additions in red to show proposals for defences in 1936. An assumption
that attack was not expected from the north would prove to be a grave tactical error in 1942.
