numbnessofthelittleandringfingersdevelop,theelbowshouldbepaddedtorelievepres-
sure on the nerves located there. If only one triangular bandage is available, webbing or
similar material can be substituted for one of the slings. A sling can be improvised by pin-
ning the shirt sleeve to the front of the shirt with safety pins.
