1. Nowadays the normal descent is back to the Envers via an adjoining route, but the recommended way in our guide was up the south-west ridge
of the Fou and then a descent via the Fontaine Ledges on the Blaitière to the Nantillons. Having done the west face of the Blaitière earlier in the
year, I was confident of finding the way.
