A nice hi-hi or bye-bye to Burmese cuisine, just around the corner from
the Thai border - turn right at the junction, and it's almost immediately on your right. They
sell Thai and Chinese-style mains too (K1500-2500), as well as Burmese tea (K300).

There are money-changers all over town, though to avoid being ripped off, do get
a handle on rough rates beforehand; at the time of writing, it was around K30 to the baht.
There's also a KBZ Bank, with an ATM that usually works, just a short walk from the Thai
border;withThailandatyourback,turnrightatthejunction,andyou'realmostthere.Ifthat
one fails, there are more banks further up the same road.
