Kalaw market
Entrances on Union Highway and Kone Thae St • Daily 6am-5pm • Free
Right next to the Aung Chan Tha Zedi, Kalaw's market is worth popping into on any day of
the week. It is of course best visited when Shan State's rotating market circus comes to town
every fifth day, on which occasions the stalls spill out onto neighbouring streets.
